Train to Tea
Thinking About Training to Teach?
Are you looking for a challenging but rewarding career, where no two days are the same?
Do you want to work in an environment where you can use your passion for learning to change children’s lives?
Do you want a career with a clear career path and excellent prospects for progression?
If you have answered yes to these questions, Maritime Academy Trust can support you to become a Teacher.
The Trust works with Kent and Medway Training (KMT) to deliver the 12 month non-salaried School Direct pathway and with the University of East London (UEL) to deliver the fifteen month salaried Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship Programme.
Both pathways support you to obtain both QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) qualification. QTS means that you will be qualified to teach at any school in England, while a PGCE is a Masters level qualification.
School based placements are supported by academic sessions and a comprehensive in house programme of CPD to support you to become a successful Early Career Teacher.
